TDS deducted is usually deposited to the Government of India by submitting an ‘Income Tax Challan’ along with the TDS Payment. Every Government and Non-Government Employee has to pay TDS. But the Due Dates are different for Government and Non-Government Assessee’s. For the convenience of the taxpayers here we are providing how to make TDS Payment. The Assessee can check both TDS Online Payment and TDS Offline Payment Procedures. So, follow the given steps carefully and start making the TDS Tax Payment.
TDS Payment Procedure
Tax Deducted at Source Payment can be done in 2 ways. There are
- TDS Online Payment.
- TDS Offline Payment.
TDS Online Payment – TDS e Payment
For making TDS Payments the Assessee should have a valid TAN Number. If you are not having the TAN Account Number then Click here to Apply for TAN
The Online Payment of Tax Deducted at Source can be done by following the steps.
Step1: Visit www.tin-nsdl.com
Step2: At the middle of the home page you can see ‘Click to pay tax Online’. Click the on that link. Then you can see the page as shown below.
Step3: Select TDS Challan No./ITNS 281 Form. Then you can see the page as shown below.
Step4: Fill the Mandatory fields like Tax Deduction Account No,Assessment Year, Name, Nature Of Payment as per Section, Area, State Name, etc. Finally enter the Captcha Code that is given over there and then click on submit.
Step5: After submitting the form then you can see the confirmation data page as shown here.
Step6: Re-check your details once and again click on the submit to bank.
Step7: Then the electronic bill presentation page will be displayed as shown below.
Step8: Enter your Corporate ID, Username and Password and then login into the bank account.
Step9: Enter the amount and calculate the total.
Step10: Then after enter your transaction password and click on validate.
Step11: Then an Acknowledgment of the Direct Tax Challan Report will be displayed.
Step12: Finally, click on ‘Save’ and then take a print of the acknowledgment for future use.

TDS Payment Offline
The taxpayers no need of worrying if they do not have internet banking account. For paying TDS offline the assessee has to visit the www.tin-nsdl.com. After visiting the website click on TDS online payment and then you can see the TDS Challan 281 Form. Download the TDS Challan Form and fill the form. After filling the Challan form submit the challan at the nearest authorized bank. Then the bank will give you an acknowledgment (counterfoil) of successful payment.
